I don't understand... explain to me in a clear way, please.
It might not be balanced or logical, but I'd rather keep it like this instead of risking having both my hats ruined at once when things go real bad.
Huh? the jeans would get ripped alot easier than the deerskin. (attacked by a wolf once and my 90% jeans went to 15%.)
I usually have snow pants as an inner layer under work pants or deerskin, because they're very warm and the outer layer is the only one that needs to be tough. There are pros and cons to this setup and it does mean that if you layer jeans over your deerskin you will lose all the protection of the deerskin and the windproof, which is ridiculous.
A suggestion to the devs, if there is only going to be one layer contributing to the windproof and protection, it should be whichever layer has the highest bonus, not whichever item is in the outer slot.
1. Defense and Windproof are only counted on the outer layer. What about waterproof? That is a separate stat, right?
2. The second layer could be weaker, so it gives you a chance to wear something lighter. Still warm but doesn't weigh as much as the items with higher defense.
I'm just asking because I've been bulking out all that I can for both warmth and defense, and I'm just on Pilgrim. I'm thinking it would be nice to weigh less, so I can carry more.
