Can I change my character?

I am playing as female character and I am on 32. day. Everything goes OK but my character complains about everything, like seriously, she talks way too much and i really hate her reacts to situations. I wish I played with male character. So my question is, Can I change my character now? Using in game methods or game files?

There's no legit way to change, except starting over. That said, the male character makes the same complaints, so I'm not sure what you're going for here. The audio cues are there for a reason. Some people don't like it, but you have the option to turn the voice audio down to 0. *shrug*

I find female character's voice so annoying, I don't know why but her reactions so annoys me.
Thanks, I don't wanna turn the voice down. I think I am gonna start a new game.

Both characters are nagging and annoying.

What you want to do is to go to settings and turn off just the character speach volume to 0.

The male char say's the same as the female - with regards to complaining about weight and cold, but his voice is less whiney. I turn off the female voice mainly because of the whiney tone and I really can't stand her "C'mon lil' fire!" it makes me cringe. To compensate and just so I don't miss anything important I turn on subtitles, which works for me 100%.

I've got nothing vs female protagonists, I loved them in every game I played, but the one in TLD is just too loud. She's fine when she says "that'll come in handy", but the line of "know why i hate bein cold? cuz i reely doooooo!!!" always puts me off the whole game. The voice actress just did a bad job. I play her with voice off, then again, what's the point?

It really does help if you talk back to them:) they both whine and winge and worry if the stick's owner still needs it, and I just threaten I'll make them starve longer or carry more if they don't shut up. Don't think it's working, but it makes me happier (even if not saner)
