In game all you will do is increase chance of dying if you sleep 8, 10, 12 hours...
Better to do like 2 - 4 hours at time, to keep an eye on weather, since its better to not go outside during high wind / blizzard like conditions... also so you can help ensure you stay on the cycle you want as far as night or day goes; depending on what you want to do and when.
What I also try to do is go without food as much as possible, Drink, yea sure top that off as needed, especially after sprinting, or before sleeping. I try to only eat what I need before sleeping. Unless your actual Health % is dropping due to hunger, its not an issue to starve yourself a bit. It only helps you, if done right.
Like, what reason? There are beds everywhere
I don't do sprinting at all, being on Pilgrim.
The harder levels like Stalker, Interloper have Cabin fever which will hit you if you spend too much time inside. Pilgrim it is turned off.
you can easily sleep 12 hours with apprioate calories and only lose a couple milimeters of condition.
6,8,9 or 12 hours are what I try for.
