Is lookout section of mystery lake gone?

I am embarking on the quest to map every named area of bear island for achievement. I started at mystery lake. I know there used to be an area called "Lookout" beyond the clear cut but it seems to be gone as in it doesn't pop up on the screen when I get there. Is it still a thing?

OK I found it it was not where I remembered. but when I map it the name doen't show up on the map. Am I to assume then that this is not part of the achievement?

I discovered that it was still intact in my Story Mode run. It may not be there for others however.

The old lookout is destroyed. The intact one has been moved right above the Derailment. Probably to move it more into the center of the map. You can actually see it from the destroyed one. But the way up there is not immediately apparent. It should have a name though.


Btw, named locations in ML, don't miss the Lake Overview above the camp office. Very easy to miss as it's a bit hidden

Hmm, I didn't realize it was moved. No wonder I can see it from the tracks now.

no not the tower there is a place extremely on the edge of the map it is just a valley that goes up out of clearcut area and when you get to the top just at the cliff wall that is the edge of the map on the screen it just says "Lookout" and there is really nothing there. But since a name comes up on the screen I thought it was a bonified location. but Not the riuned lookout tower on the trail out of the clearcut area. That maps fine.

why does it say "lookout" anyway is something about to get me there? What am I supposed to lookout for. Actually it's a pretty safe place but you know if someone says "lookout" you would suspose something bad was about to happen

I can not for the life of me find that Lookout - been searching for ages for it to pop!!
It's the one on the upper left of the map - near the edge.

It's not required for the cartographer achievement, but i think the two lookout towers are

The towers are not what he is talking about, but yes those towers are both required for FC achievement. The spot he is talking about is Lookout...and yes it's still there...but no it won't show up on your map even after discovering and mapping it. Here's a shot of the exact spot that I took a week or two ago...
