are there other survivors in the sandbox mode now?
I just read a thing in the story that they are in the story, how about sandbox?

No you are completely alone. With is actually a big appeal of the game. Nobody to help you, the crushing lonliness of your survival against nature and the elements. the feeling of you exploring a deserted settlement, half buried under snow.... Loving this.

There is now an achievement for surviving 500 days (with the same character of course) in sandbox mode.
That will take some time, the old 200 days one that they removed with this update already was a big chore.

I'm personally happy to keep sandbox (survivor) mode free of NPCs, I like being alone.

i mean im content too. But more interaction is usually better. Even if its just them passing by or some ♥♥♥♥. Makes for interesting events

Having finished chapter one and a chunk of chapter two I stand by my pre-release assessment that having NPCs around would feel weird when I'm used to owning the world by myself. Pains. In. The. Bahookey.

Where are you in the story? No spoilers, but following the road is always a safe bet for finding civilization.
