Trapper's Cabin Bear
So I'm hanging out in Mystery Lake, and I really want a bearskin bedroll for christmas this year. Does anybody have any advice for nailing Mr. Bear, the one that hangs out between Max's Last Stand and Trapper's Cabin? I'm pretty good at taking out the bears in Coastal Highway by using cover, whether a car or fishing shack, but theres none to be had in ML.

There is the rock on the left of his den when you facing it. You can climb on it by the edge, bear can not. Shoot from there.

You can also lure it back to the cabin and use the terrain there. It's a bit of a show and dance, but if you're careful and patient, you can get it to keel over not far from the front door.

There's a fallen tree past the open area in front of Trapper's and the abandoned barn; said bear sometimes paths all the way to the back of his cave, in front of the fallen tree.

Climb the tree, shoot a couple of arrows, remove headphones to avoid panicking from the sound of an angry bear trying to bring you down, wait, profit.

Lure it back toward the cabin, use the shed for cover. The bear can't go into the back room of the shed.

I like the fallen tree too. The extra height makes aiming with a bow more accurate, and it's in the open, so you have good sightlines. Also you won't accidentally trigger a wandering wolf, as none wander close to there

Fallen tree near the cave is your best option mate.

Anyone had any luck with the, well, not "cliffs" exactly right outside the door, but you can hop down about midway between ground and top? lol just not sure if either of those distances are within the bear's engagement zone.

/thanks

The best I have done at Trapper is in the abandon barn, first make the bear follow you from a safe distance, just outside drop a decoy and go in the barn, he will go for the decoy as he crosses the opening take a shoot.

I just got in front and put two bullets in his head. Maybe not the safest or most efficient way, he’s dead though.
