Tinder uses after firestarter lvl 3.
Any other uses for it? Or should I dump it all now?

In my opinion throw away.
Perhaps it will give some % in the future but at the moment it makes no diffrence.

I haven't found other uses but, as a personal challege, I still use tinder after lvl 3. It gives me something else to do in the world.

I use them as trail markers, start by droping all and placing One down, then stand on that One with another in placement mode and place it at the extreme edge of placement, then move to this new Ones place and repeat. Fog and blizzards can not stop you from home, follow the breadcrumbs.

This is a very good idea, maybe time consuming first time, but once its set up, that sounds great. Thanks. Lot of times its been warm enough to be out, but still foggy, dangerous because wolves still, but for short distance things that would come in handy, get between camp, fishing huts and snares or something.

Just gave me a great idea to place cat tail heads along a safe path through the thin ice in forlorn muskeg. Makes it possible to sprint through the middle without worrying about falling through

Yeah, but going out the front door to check the weather, and seeing a stick figure made or sticks, and OMB lichen, extra clothing, guts, fish, meat, and rose hips, with a tinder plug mohawk... is funny as heck sometimes. xD

Trailmakers is the best idea here, however I think the fact that snow doesn't 'bury' things you've dumped detracts from the reality for me a little.

A little bit, yeah. Would that be just making things left in the snow despawn eventually? How would being buried in snow work?

Trail markers are an excellent idea!

Although it would be cool if the optional use of tinder would increase firemaking chance ... like we could start a fire without but with would give it a bit of a buff or something

other than that, wolf fetch anyone?
Weizen1988 Jan 14, 2017 @ 6:49pm
It probably will give a buff eventually, makes sense, being able to start a fire without tinder doesnt mean its not still easier to do with it.
