Controller Support?
Will the game ever have controller support? it'd be nice to not having to lift my arms up to the keyboard (chair dosnt have arm supports ;c) to play the game. and a controller'd be nice for just sitting on the couch and playing. and if it does get controller support, what controll would it be? Play station, Xbox, Wii, etc,?

I was thinking about this from the similar thread above. I don't fancy controllers myself, but I do notice I press the keys harder when I feel urgency... even though keyboards are 1 or 0 affairs. This is something controllers provide.

It does have controller support. The Tecnical Issues subforum has a thread for it too:

I tried TLD on Xbox One recently and really didn't like how it's controlled. Seem really awkward (and much darker than usual). I'm back on the PC.

oh TLD is on Xbox now? Cool. and yeah I assumed a PC game meant for keyboards would be kinda akward. also, cant you turn up the brightness in the main menu?

We actually bought TLD on the XBone juat after Christmas. After months, and months, and months of me trying to get my husband and kids into the game. I have been playing more on XBone than on PC reecently, and I find the opposite of @em. I find the controls with the controller very easy to use. But.. I am a bot of a purist. I don;t generally use a controller on the PC, unless a game specifically says it must be used. It does take some adjudstment going from one to the other. My RA andd OA have been acting up a ton recently, so kb/m controls mean my hands start to hurt rather quickly when I am PC gaming. So, I may start to use a controller on the PC more as time goes on.

But until I do. I can't tell you to make any particular controller work on this game, or any other that has both kb/m and controller support. That's why I linked the thread about it. Some folks shared issues and solutions they found for diferent controleers.

And I encourage folks to are using controllers on the PC version to read it, and post what controller they are successfully using, and any issues and solutions to issues they may have found.

I use my xbox controller for TLD on my Surface Pro 3. Nice setup since I travel a lot. The new Xbox controllers work with Bluetooth (no need for USB or a receiver), and can plug in via USB as well to play and charge at the same time. Works out of the box with no config required for TLD.

I use a ps4 wireless controller, you just have to connect it to the computer, open tld (not in the controller version of steam, it just crashes) and press a button on the controller, th controls are a bit awkward at the start, but you get used to it

Had no problems playing with a PS3 controller through DS3 tool. Then I got Steam Controller, which is just better.

I didn't even realize this game had controller support until I reached for something on my desk and bumped my Logitech Rumblepad. :steamfacepalm:

xbox1 controller is fully supported just use a usb cord i do because i have screwed up fingers on my right hand so its hard for a mouse but easy for a controller that and the fact it feels smoothier to me.
