How do I heal back my health?
Hey everyone,

Before anyone asks, I did search the wiki but never found the actual thing specifically that I was looking for.

I played a bit in my game and have become very injured. I healed most of my injuries I think, but my health at the bottom left of the screen does not seem to be going up at all.

I ate all sorts of pills and still no effect.. Any ideas how to fix this? How do I get my health back?

I'm doing a lets play video series, hehe, and of course at the end of part 1 I am almost dead and have no idea how to fix it, hahaha, I love it. :)

Any help would be great, thanks everyone

it will regen with time if you have no injuries, sleeping helps too. i dont think any phills or shots will regen you in this game, i might be wrong tho.

Ah ok thanks. So I am pretty sure my guy is healed from all the afflictions, so if I sleep in my bedroll or whatever, the health should recover over time?

All I need to remember is set a long fire I guess.

Thanks :)

Yeah, it's a survival game and while it's not fully realistic, it has a lot of realism to it. So, how do you get better in real life: treat the symptoms and rest. Obviously the game is much faster at doing so, but, yeah, sleep is the biggest healer. You can help augment the healing during sleep by drinking an herbal tea right before bed. Either way though, if you're condition is really low, you might not heal completely in one night. As was said above though, if you don't have any afflictions and are in otherwise good shape (not freezing, starving, dehydrated, or exhausted) then you'll also do some healing while awake, just not nearly as much.

you can use an emergency stim if youre about to die but it isnt really the best way to heal because its rather rare and it makes you exhausted shortly after taking it

I'd like to add that deep sleep is best for healing. So you'll heal more by sleeping in one 8-hour block than eight 1-hour segments.
