Eating raw fish should or shouldn't make you sick?

Isn't that what sushi is? I've never had it, but I think it's just raw fish meat with rice or something. So do you think it should make you sick in the game, or nah? And does anyone know the % chance of getting sick if eating raw food/fish?

For gaming purposes, I think it's the same than meat. I don't know the % chance. I remember I ate once a raw fish without consequences, and twice raw meat. First time no consequences, second time I took illness. It is impossible to know the correct % unless you do a big number of trials (at least a hundred), and maybe it's related to food quality too.

It should be safe to eat fresh raw meat and fish, without getting sick! I once ate a raw fish that I just pulled out of the water and got sick. That should not happen! The chance of getting sick when eating raw stuff should be depending on the condition of the meat or fish!

In RL people fairly regularly get tapeworm from undercooked salmon. Freshwater fish are worse.

Well, it depends. Raw fish can be carriers of parasites and diseases. Sushi is raw, yes, but carefully prepared and also inspected prior to use.

It probably does have to do with the condition of the food. Sounds like the RNG gods were not merciful.

Everytime I have eaten raw fish in the game I have gotten sick. At first I did assume there would be less chance of getting sick from raw fish as opposed to meat but no.

There's already a parasite penalty in the game from eating predator meat. So it's really just swapping the food poisoning risk out for parasites.
