Is TLD the best ("realistic") survival game ever made?

I bought this on GOG (who has a big discount atm) and altough i suck at this, i LOVE this game.
The look (graphics), the sounds, ambiance and the overal gameplay. Amazing!

What are your thoughts? Is there another (similair) game that sucks you in like this one?

Nope, nothing brings me like this game. While not the most realistic, certianly one of the most gorgeous games out there. And personally, I like the fact that it's not "THE MOST REALISTIC SURVIVAL GAME!" Because it shows that it's still, at its core, a GAME.

Definitely not (neither best nor realistic)!
And TLD is more of an exploration game than a survival game (for me). Try to play "don't starve" that is a survival game (or faster than light). ;-)

Op asked about "Realistic" survival game.... flying spaceship, fighting space-pirates in FTL (Rogue-like, Simulation, Strategy) and killing spiders and treemonsters in Don't starve(Action-adventure game, Survival game with top down view) does not match my "most realistic surviva gamel" criteria.
You can't do much exploring if you do not survive.

Not sure to be honest :P. I dot think there is one. Every game is gonna have something that makes it unrealistic, no matter how realistic it seems.

"best realistic" could be rephrased as "most realistic" does not matter how unrealistic it might be ,as long as you can compare how realistic is it against other games... therefore when in comparison to Don't starve and FTL i made my argument how TLD is more realistic. Until you provide better example of "best realistic" game i pressume TLD to be the one

I respect others opinions and i'm willing to hear them to change mine (if there is more realistic survival game i want to play it)... still heard no counter argument which would prove my previous statement invalid

This is a topic I am very interested! I know it's not mine, but can I ask if any of you members of the community knows

other games in first person perspective non changeable, that can give you a similar sensation to "be" the toon you are playing as TLD does?

Maybe MarinusMaximus wanted to ask something similar?
If the OP intention in the question was something like I wrote above: I answer that I do not own any game not even remotely similar to the sensation I have when playing TLD (which, to be honest, is becoming a true addiction.... I should be worried....)

Only similiar immersion i had in Arma (2/3) and maybe firewatch. In Arma you can dissable 3rd person and there are servers which have it disabled as well.
