Here's the video "walkthrough" (from the PV side).
Yeah it's easy to get lost in caves. I'll admit that I hate the most that exact same cave from PV to ML. It's just kinda confusing in there because of all of the dead ends I guess.
Nah. Raven Falls is a cinch, if you keep and eye on your feet and go slow at the broken section. And don't let the sounds freak you out.
Winding River? 25+ years of exploring wild caves, for fun, surveying and mapping... and this "little" cave gets me turned around constantly. But, then again, I have no flagging tape or glowsticks to mark and retrace a path like we always did IRL.
Thw Winding River Cave reminds me of Hamilton Cave in West Virginia. Considered to be a "beginner-intermediate" wild cave. it is a maze cave. With lots of looping passages and dead ends. And really easy to get turned around in, walking in circles.Lost for hours, even though it is a relatively small cave. Because there were no major formations to use as landmarks, and it all looked so similar from one passage to the next.
Hinterland did really well with the caves in this game, especially the Winding River Cave.
Lol! You would fit right in with the folks from the Boy Scout Troops we used to take on caving "adventures". Not the Scouts themselves, mind you. They generally had a blast. But the Scout Leaders... it was somewhat enjoyable to see the look of terror in their eyes when we would startle a whole room of bats into sudden flight. Or after we would do our "Everyone stay put, where you are. Now turn off your helmet lamps, and experience what complete darkness is..." experiences. :D
Nope, just came down the ramp. I turned left to the corpse then after checking out the backpack turned to my right and entered the first cave entrance after trying several turns in there I ended back at the main room with the corpse. I have to try again or delete this game and go on to another one. I am running out of matches and nerves.
"You have entered...a maze of twisty little passages, all alike".
