(Also - yeah, bears really do give an unbelievable amount of meat!)
EDIT: I expected my offline saved game to be synced up with the cloud...but that hasn't happened. Is there something I need to do to force the sync? Or am I just confused about how saved games work for TLD?
EDIT2: I found the saved games folder, and there *is* a sub-folder for my offline challenge...but it's empty. I don't quite understand how saved games work, I guess. Why would there be a sub-folder, but no files inside?
You always spawn in the PV farmstead? (that's where I spawned anyway, LOL) I started with the radio tower, from there I went to the barn, then to the Rural crossroads. I had NO Idea how to get to skeeter's ridge, so I went to coastal highway. stayed at the abandoned lookout, then quonset, then crumbling highway basement, then the church, then the lighthouse, (that's all the DP locations for that challange, right? XD) then I went to Mystery Lake, I hit the dam, then the forestry lookout, then the trapper's cabin, then the camp office. then I was off to Pleasant Valley for Skeeter's Ridge. I stayed at the barn then made my way through the birch forest (no idea where I was.) and got my way to the car crashsite thing, so I knew where I was so I dicided to find the rope to TWM and then go to skeeter's ridge from there. (from the rope it's pretty easy to find skeeter's ridge.) so I found it at about 2 hours of daylight left. then I was off to TWM, the climb to TWM was rough because I was 20 pounds overweight. I finally made it up (after resting at the ledge) and then once I entered TWM I got tackled by a wolf, I didn't have a knife (yeah ikr, worst luck ever >.<) so the wolf won the fight and walked off with me at about 10% condition, popped a stim and made a mad dash to the mountaineer's hut. finally got there and then won the challange
Hope you liked my little 'story'? xD
Thank You! All of the challenges are SO good! :D
I like your story! TWM was my last stop as well.
It is a little boring when you're just passing the time, but I found it to be relaxing, and the push to keep moving on was great. I was amazed by how much loot I found all over that I just passed up. Well except for that huge bear! :D Wow - meat meat meat meat meat. Sad that this is the only time I left a bear hide to cure so far, and I didn't get back to use it because I kept on with the Challenge.
I just really loved this whole challenge.
OH - here's another little bit of my story - I have NO Idea how I managed to do this, I was sleeping and passing time in the Quonset and took off. After leaving that region entirely, I looked at my journal and I was at 2.7 instead of 3 days back at the Quonset!!! :o :o :o
I couldn't even believe I had taken off without one last look at the journal but sure enough, I screwed that up. :D Had to backtrack all the way back and stay a bit longer there (shaking my head).
That's why they call it a Challenge :D
lol Oh thank you for admitting to that! I don't feel like I'm the only one now! :D
