It's much harder in the muskeg. You're basically in an outdoor structure which is much harder to even get to than the Riken in DP. Forlorn Muskeg is the toughest region to survive in the game.

I belive the DP forge is closer than the FM forge. plus the DP forge is indoors and alot more scrap metal lying around.

IMO it's not hard to get 95% of the way to Old Spence. The last 5% depends on whether there are 0,1, or, oh, five wolves in the area.

Lmao, I agree. just went from ML to FM forge. 4 wolves on the right side of high blind. fell through ice and shot three of them. last one got me to 30% condition... dang muskeg gets me every time!

- second that.
But the mode you're playing is an important factor, as well as what kind of clothing you have, and how late in the game it is.

One of the benefits of the Muskeg forge is there's no risk of Cabin Fever, whereas using the one in Desolation Point makes that afflction difficult to avoid.

Plus the Muskeg can be a nice break - much bigger map than Desolation Point.

Probably about the same distance/travel time to be honest. PV>ML>FM or PV>CH>DP.
The CH route will have more wolves as you pass through, compared to the ML route. But DP is less hostile overall, with more shelters and access to coal, than FM is.

Lol! Personally, I just know DP better, and FM with all of its weak ice, bad weather (fog Fog and more FOG) and wolves hiding around every corner... I don't like FM, FM does not like me in return. I just prefer the dangers and benefits of DP over those of FM.

I prefer the FM but the last two forge runs I've ended up in DP

The barn/garage structure in FM is a very fun place to stay (if you can manage the temps)

I'm in my way to DP now, wish me luck <3 thankchuu all

DP for me just because of the ease of gathering enough coal for a marathon forge session. Plus the deer near Riken don't have a bog to run off into and die out on thin ice.

DP, FM for food is a challenge so you should be confident in shooting the rifle, Plus thin ice is the worst here sofar.

I'd go for FM on this one..no cabin fever,,with a bed in the loft close enough to the forge..endless supply of wood..lots of wolves and deer..and a cave nearby to dry the animal hides.
