Lmao, I agree. just went from ML to FM forge. 4 wolves on the right side of high blind. fell through ice and shot three of them. last one got me to 30% condition... dang muskeg gets me every time!
But the mode you're playing is an important factor, as well as what kind of clothing you have, and how late in the game it is.
One of the benefits of the Muskeg forge is there's no risk of Cabin Fever, whereas using the one in Desolation Point makes that afflction difficult to avoid.
Plus the Muskeg can be a nice break - much bigger map than Desolation Point.
Probably about the same distance/travel time to be honest. PV>ML>FM or PV>CH>DP.
The CH route will have more wolves as you pass through, compared to the ML route. But DP is less hostile overall, with more shelters and access to coal, than FM is.
Lol! Personally, I just know DP better, and FM with all of its weak ice, bad weather (fog Fog and more FOG) and wolves hiding around every corner... I don't like FM, FM does not like me in return. I just prefer the dangers and benefits of DP over those of FM.
The barn/garage structure in FM is a very fun place to stay (if you can manage the temps)
