Robert Redford in Jeremiah Johnson
So it is my favorite movie, It's where Will Geer teaches Johnson all he knows. Upon 'graduation" Bear Claw says to Jeremiah "Watch your top knot". I know many of us in discussion say stay safe and warm. Just looked up the definition. It means if that knot comes undone you lose all you have worked for. It's the last knot on a diamond hitch, This is used to secure your supplies on a pack animal. Yes we do not have horses yet but I still want to say it. So stay safe and warm , Watch your top knot, Don't forget to write, Adios

Umm, I think he meant his scalp. Indians were a much greater threat to life than having to resecure your skins to your pack animal.

This is the part of the movie:

Bear Claw Chris Lapp: You've learned well, pilgrim. You'll go far, provided you ain't burnt alive, or scalped.

Jeremiah Johnson: I will do my best.

Bear Claw Chris Lapp: You can cut wood and leave it up on the "Judith." The riverboat captains will leave you gold, if you put out a pouch. Good thing to know, when times gits hard.

Bear Claw Chris Lapp: Watch your topknot.

Jeremiah Johnson: Yep. Watch your'n.

Taken from the IMDB website as a quote.

The last part of the movie Jeremiah fights a one man war against the crow.
Killing many warriors in the process.

Awesome film, had it on dvd for about 10 years.
Worth a watch if you love the wilderness, mountain man movies etc.

My eye is tearing up thinking about that scene. Maybe in Story mode you will be cold and down to your last jerky. Suddenly you hear " That's far enough Pilgrim, YOU ARE MOLESTING MY HUNT!! Out comes Bear Claw, Instead of reading books you raise your skill level by spending time with him.
