Raw fish

So I heard you can double your calories if the fish is eaten raw. If I am now at Level 5 at cooking will I get food poisoning? What is the latest you have heard on this matter?

Level 5 is for cooked food. I don't know what the risk is in eating fish raw but the descriptions of the fish indicate that the risk should be lower on some types. But the risk is there. I've don't remember if I ever tried it but I have seen posts on the forum indicating that food poisoning does happen.

Yes, but sushi is prepared by (hopefully) well trained, specialized sushi chefs. They know what to look for. But even then there is a very slight risk, owing to human error. The layman can eat raw fish and acquire some truly nasty parasites such as liver flukes and the like.

I do love me some delicious sushi, mind you! Mmmmmmmmmm!

Sushi may be cooked or raw, or both, usually rolls with rice... Sashimi on the other hand... always raw, sliced, can be fish and/or meat. No rolls.. And mmmmmmmm good, if done by a pro. Tako, sake, ebi, hotate and ika please, no nigiri, thank you. Just a nice dsh of fresh wasabi to the side. :)

ive eaten raw fish on 3 occasions in all my play throughs, got food poisoning all 3 times, and one of them was 99% condition, so try it with caution and make sure you got the meds to back it up

Weird! Same happened to me but I accidently ate a rancid rabbit I was saving for a decoy and nothing happened then,
