How do I make planks in the Polaris map?

Sorry for the dumb question but I can't figure it out. I know how to make them in the vanilla single player with the saw, but it's not showing up in the list on Polaris for some reason. ANy ideas?

chopping a tree down in Polaris makes planks, the log you can craft with the planks is an decoration barricade

how do you even get logs, there's no trees in polaris..
