This guide will answer all your questions regarding Unturned cosmetics! Help out a friend that has questions by showing them this thread.

Questions & Answers

Q: What are Unturned cosmetics?
A: Unturned cosmetics are weapon skins and clothing that you can apply to your character.

Q: Do these cosmetics have any use to them?
A: Yes, they do! If you are wearing a cosmetic it will hide the equipped clothing piece underneath so that only your cosmetic will be visible.

For Example: If you are wearing the cosmetic hat, Viking Helmet, and are also wearing the Farmer Hat which you can find and equip in-game, only the Viking Helmet will be visible to other players.

Q: How can I get my hands on these cosmetics?
A: There are 3 different ways of getting Unturned cosmetics:

1. Buying them from the Steam Community Market.
   
2. Using Keys to unlock Cosmetic Mystery Boxes and having a chance at winning a random cosmetic.
   
3. Simply playing the game and receiving a cosmetic drop!

Q: Do I have to be a gold member to receive drops?
A: Nope! Drops are available to all types of players.

Q: I have a cosmetic! How do I equip it in-game?
A: Home Screen > Survivors > Inventory

Click on the cosmetic item that you want to apply to your character and then click on 'Equip' to wear it.

Q: If I am in the game but not playing anything can I receive drops?
A: No, to be eligible to receive drops you need to be actually playing the game in either singleplayer or multiplayer.

Q: Can I still receive drops if I am playing on a Workshop Map?
A: Definitely!

Q: I've been playing for a long period of time but still haven't received a drop yet, why?
A: Cosmetic drops will occur randomly so just keep playing and you will receive one in no time! To check if you received a drop you need to disconnect from either singleplayer or multiplayer.

Q: Can keys be obtained from drops as well?
A: Unfortunately they can't. If you unlock a Mystery Box without a key there will be an option for you to buy the key for $1 USD.

Q: I have a key but I can't open Mystery Boxes! Why?
A: Be sure that you have BOTH the key AND the box to be able to unlock them.

Q: Where can I open these Mystery Boxes?
A: The same place where you can equip cosmetics! (Look Above)

You cant get in from a drop get it on the curated wkshp

Addition for Question, 'I have been playing for a long time but not received any drops':
Make sure that you are playing Unturned with Steam set to Online Mode, and have an internet connection - you cannot receive cosmetics unless Steam is in Online Mode.

This was something I discovered after hitting 'screw it' and deciding to see how much data Unturned takes out of my mobile data plan if I play online. Which, I gotta say, is not too much.
I was so disappointed to find out that I could have had pages full of cosmetics. But that's okay, because I'm getting more still.

Oh, and also! Sometimes you might get a cosmetic drop but not be able to equip it. When you close what comes up, it won't be in the inventory. To fix this, just enter a game and come back out, and the cosmetic should be usable.

If you check my inventory its just uncommon skins and common ones except for some halloween items fro, gift boxes. Like could you find legendarys? And are mythicals limiteed to only boxes?

Mythicals are box only, and you can only find common and uncommon
