Removing ladders?

So, I am an admin on my friends server, and we had a serious case of two people trolling me.
I have some ladders I need to remove, and I don't want to use explosives, as that would further damage the structure.

I will explain what happened so I prove I wasn't admin abusing.

We live in a large metal building between Stratford and the military base.

I was up on the roof of my building, doing well, nothing, and some guys came.
They said in voice, "Hey! we're friendly! You inside there?"
I respond with, "I'm on it."
They immediately look up and open fire on me. I'm bleeding, I get some medical supplies from inside and heal up. I go to a crate with my eaglfire (That I traded for a Maplestrike I found, I'm a fair person) and went up top. I got sniped from a high ground (that is there, I need to fix that). I re spawned and got my loot from the roof and ran back in.

Mind you, they keep sputtering BS in the chat about how they're nice and all, well, one is nice and the other is mean. They're obviously in skype or TS by their coordination. I assume both hostile.

I heard some stuff going on, looked through one of my many view ports and saw they are building a ladder up the nearby birch tree to get onto the roof. I've built the structure so that when they get into the building from the top, there's just metal doors. I sat in the hall, one entered and I riddled him with holes. The other guy that was outside started blubbering BS, again confirming the fact they are use voice chat in another program,
"You killed him on sight! You bully! You're suck a f***ing bully!"
Cause getting shot at, being killed, and having my base broken into, then killing the guy is unprovoked killing...
Guy said he wanted his stuff. Reasonable, but he has tried to trick me in other ways. So I open the door to let him in with my Eaglefire aimed on his head. I yelled "Get your stuff and get out! If you do anything else you're not having it!"

They say goodbye, and "leave." I hear footsteps go, then come back. Comical.

Then they started throwing explosives, and rather greatly damaged the fort, removing a pillar, and damage I'm yet to repair. Then, another guy shows up, observing the explosions, and asked what was going on.
One of them says "There's a guy in this house, and he just randomly killed my friend, (once again, like killing him after getting shot at is random) can you help me break into his house?
Guy responds with sure. I just got tired of it I called the server owner on my phone and said, "Shut it down now! We are being trolled to s***!"

There. I spawned 0 weapons, except for the Eaglefire that I traded for a Maplestrike cause it looks cooler, but I spawned that in hours ago.
Admins are notorious for abusing their rights, but I believe they sure as god knows to have the right to self-defense and to not allowing this kinda crap. Any questions to what I did? Ask, but make sure to answer my question about ladders.

You won't be able to remove ladders without explosives, justgather some supplies if you dont want to leave a open place to your base, when you'll blow up the ladder you will quickly repair your base

Okay, thanks. The server owner and I have made it open with a password while we rebuild and upgrade. Thanks for the response.

Also, tell me for my sake of knowing how to admin, how would a good amin respond to that? We've now added ROCKET, so being an admin isn't a fancy chat text anymore. But still, how should an admin respond to being trolled? I'm all for PVP combat, and it's fun, but trolled? ehhhh

You should have kept the Maplestrike XD : it takes half a second to equip a Grenade, and 1 second to throw it. If you are already aiming his head, he won't have time to throw it nor to take a gun from his pocket.

If I were you, I'd ask the 3 of them, one by one not to show any aggressive behaviour or dangerous items. If one fails to it, boom, the three are dead. Pretty neat condition, since you have the advantage of having your weapon out. And they can't tell that is is abusing, because you warned them first. (Just don't shoot while they've done nothing, that would be problematic).

To conclude, be EXTREMELY careful and reactive with people like this, so bad that I don't even need to tell you, you're just wasting time reading this conclusion.

Ummmm ... tell them "You're getting banned guys, buh-bye." and ban them. And then keep playing.

What I'd have done ? Shot the three of them, told the first 2 to not be ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ and ban them, and the 3rd one that he's been tricked by trolls and that he can get his gear back.
