How do I change say the radius of a Generator on my Server?
I've tried modifying the Generator_Large.dat and saving it on the server all that did was stop the ability to place it. I changed it on my client to and same thing. I've tried uploading the Generator_Large.dat to workshop and nada.
Does Anyone have any ideas?

What I would love to have is a whole new Generator that covers like 3x the amount of area than the large generator. If anyone could do this or tell me how that would be great!

This is my dat file for it.

Well, first of all.

Do not edit the core game files

Instead copy them and paste them and edit that copy

So you copy the industrial generator's file, and edit the copy with those things you just said up there.

Be sure to test your modified file in singleplayer, and make sure it works

Then you make a folder on your desk top, name doesn't matter, and put your modified generator file in there.

Then you have to upload the file, which is the tricky bit

Open up unturned, in the main menu click Workshop, then submit

Then you put in the name, desc and change notes.

For the "collection path" you put in the path of the modified industrial generator file (name/desktop/filename)

Then for the preview image just put in the path to your image (name/desktop/picturefolder/picturename.jpg)

Then change about the thing below where it says "map" and "survival" to fit what you are uploading it as (item)

Then you submit it and install it on your server

How do you test it in single player if you do not edit the core file? where do you put the modified one?

You paste it in the same folder as the core one is in.

(Bundles, items, etc)

I recommend you verify your game cache first, since that will fix the core file that you edited

(Never edit core files)

If I paste it in the same one the core one was in doesn't that over write the core one?

No, not if you change the name.

All that matters is that you change the folder name and the ID of the copied one.

It's still not working. How do i do it without a unity3d model? I want to use the default model in game how do I extract it or call it?

I'm not sure, I might have to try this myself some time and get back to you
