They can do what L4D2 does, and determines zombie patterns based off how well you're doing or have done. If you haven't been seriously hurt lately, then the zombie count picks up. If you've been hurt a lot lately, zombie pace stays a steady low. Of course, these rules aren't strict and may even produce in opposite effect.
Goal? Produce a more enjoyable but active gameplay.
If there are others in the area, it accounts for their "sense of safety" also.

After 30 minutes of playing i get totally bored cause im too OP and just reset the world. I would love it even if the thing with hordes doesnt exist. Even at hard difficulty it's not a painer to kill 100 zombies with just a knife.
