i thought you talked about the game environmental design when i see your thread title.
well... personally, just talked about something not related. a 3rd party map called " VinIsland", that map, really makes me feel something zombie survival... especially the "windows" that i see on the streets...
=-=--==-==-
and for the real windows in 3.x preview now. um...e.g.
ID 34: Maple Window
ID 59: Birch Window
ID 60: Pine Window
ID 372:metal window
actually, they are not window, they are walls with "window box"/"window frame", so you have to install window itself separately in game, now there is only 2 sorts, metal bar fortification and wooden fortification as window,
but what i want to say is, the size of window box/window frame in game, (craftable wall) is somewhat big, it can be smaller, due to now in game, if you really need big window, you can use garage door frame as wall, but, now due to the window frame is somewhat big, one piece of metal bar fortification / wooden fortification cannot completely seal/ cover the window hollow....
and, maybe the shutter for a window from 2.x could be added back to 3.x...in future...the shutter in 2.x that is a real window...somewhat...and make its size 100% fit with the 3.x window ledge...
