The Problem with Industrial Generators...
Like a large percentage of the player base, I'm still in school. So with the new sentry update I've been getting up 45 minutes earlier in the morning to run around searching for fuel to load up my Generator for my entire school day. It's hard to do everyday, but without it my sentry army sits sadly unable to do their job. The point is, I think it would be great to add a way to fill up some sort of tank (or silo?) that would continuously fill your generator while you're gone. Or alternatively just make generators (and Industrial) last longer. They last 11 hours at full charge but that's not enough for sleep and school.

A balancing factor to survival games is making the player check on their stuff. Otherwise the game gets too easy.

Thats true, but its not meant to something thats challenging on the person doing it. I can understand checking once a day to refill it and i check my base is fine all the time. The problem is that you can't just check on it, you have to spend time finding fuel to refill it. Especially with industrial. Unless you live in a neighborhood made of gas it can take some serious effort to pull together 33 fuel cans. It also has to happen twice a day if you want to be safe all the time.

Stockpile fuel..

That works if you have like 25 gas cans. It would still be nice to have something you can fuel in that would put it in the generator automatically.

You can farm gas with the oil derrick, and also remember in game a full 24 hour cycle is 48 minutes, so your generator is lasting about 2 weeks in game.

Lasting two weeks in game is great and all but it doesn't help me. Games should be realistic, but you shouldn't balance items to the time settings in game. Also we have oil derricks but it's not 33 and 2 farm we would have to use it. Come back when it's full. And repeat. Takes time that I don't have.

Well, survival games always require some sort of 27/7 upkeep. You should have a group if you can't do it alone. Nelson isn't gonna make this game less survival just because people have school and sleep. Persistent worlds are always on, and always require constant player attention.

I'm in a group, we are all based in Northern pacific time zone so it doesn't help. I understand the sentiment for survival games but there comes a point where some kid gets salty bc his gen ran out of power while he was at soccer and his base got raided. This is where you gotta understand that humans are playing your game and you need to realize that they have other things to do. It would make it a lot more fun for a lot of people. How many people do you think enjoy refilling their generator 2 times a day.

Says 666 2/3 minutes
2/3 of 666 are 444+666= 1110/60 = 18.5

Plenty of people enjoy it, that is why games like this exist.
