Im confused? I have never an unturned server, but id assume it takes all the ram it needs. To me it sounds like you might have to invert in more RAM. Correct me if im wrong though.

There is a tutorial on it and a fix. Basically follow nelsons vid, but make sure you ALSO port forward 27016 tcp and udp.

The server will use any amount of memory that it needs upto 2gb, which is the max that the process can use in windows without it using the LAA flag(Large Address Aware) in the app to get access to more ram. If it goes over that 2gb amount the server will crash(the server can be a bit leaky at the moment, memory wise, so it can crash every few days with it using too much ram.).

As far as I'm aware there aren't any heap flags to control the ammount of ram the server can use, like some other games.

So there's no way to allocate more RAM than 2gb to an unturned 3.0 server?

I've been having a slight problem. i'm running my rocket server on steamcmd and playing unturned on the regular steam client at the same time, and since the server is modded, my computer has these random huge lag spikes every once in a while. When the lag spike happens, it disrupts all processes on my PC, including the server, so i have to join back every time that happens. Does anybody know how to add more ram so that it doesnt lag? if not, is there a way to fix this?

You can get more than 2gb if you're running the 64bit version of the server, otherwise you can't allocate more than that for a server. In most cases you won't need much more than a gb of ram(usually less than that.) unless you have a lot of workshop content on the server.

in ur case u dont wanna dedicate more ram. if what your describing is what i think it is not lag spikes but your pc locking up. most likely you maxing ram and/or your memory. in this case your either gonna need to cut down on ram and memory usage or upgrade/get a new pc.

so yea yall keep telling yall self lies.
cuzz i have 32gb of ram with a titan and still lag its called this game has ♥♥♥♥ optimization when any other game i can run on high setting and unturned i cant

well first off thats the recomended specs to run the game. not a server. servers require processing power not graphics cards. now you need to look at your memory and cpu power most likely. u can have 4 titans but if you dont got the cpu power to handle em it wont mean much. same applies to server hosting. you may run the game fine, but if you dont got the leftover processing power to activily handle the server and your game it wont mean much.

lol yea you sure do know what ur talking about when im running a AMD FX-8350 Black Edition Vishera 8-Core 4.0 GHz (4.2 GHz Turbo)

well ur obv well within the specs. so ur either running to many programs while running the server and unturned or your bottlenecked somewhere within your own equipment. which is very possible with ur processor. unturned isnt very intensive when it comes to running a server unless your poping mutliple nuke mods at once. either the server is taking up to much processing power or to man programs are runnin with ur server and game. also note amd processors are considered low end gaming pc parts, tho it should still be enough to handle what you need. id recommend just having your server open and see how much cpu power it takes(maybe have a friend join and have him ♥♥♥♥ around to stress test). then open unturned and see how much more it goes up. if it spikes well into the mid 70 and low 80`s then something is sucking up alot of processing power. in which case look into what programs that are open and arnt vital that may be causing the issue.

and like fox said ram dosent factor in unless your running multiple programs.

I noticed that, switching to website hosting
