so ofcourse unturned sometimes ... yea it sometimes scares peapole who are new but.. im not that new anymore at night i hear footsteps (yes it was in a server but i was the only one online) i got scared and went into me base and blocked off the entrance and then the creepyness begginss i start hearing trees getting chopped down rapidly and ofcourse for some reason me health started gouing down slowly i got so scared that i disconnected right away! but when i came back the entire base and me stuff were gone... what the hell?!

Footsteps? Probably yours.
Trees chopped down? Zombies braking your base
Slowly dying? Thirst/Hunger/Sickness/bleeding.
All stuff gone? You died and your stuff despawned after exiting the server.

:P footsteps: didint move at all cuz of being scared
I was in map Arena zombies dont spawn there.
i was 0% thirst/hunger/radiation/bleeding.
when i died i quickly got all (or most) of me stuff back and disconnected.
