This same issue happened with me and a group of players while we were exchanging items. A server admin said something about the item was technically vanished but it was still appearing in our screens for some reason, so we would try to pick it, but in reality the item we see didn't exist in that moment and place.
I still doubt if this is in fact the cause of the problem.
It's just the nature of picking up items in games.
about 75% of the time the items fell (or rolled). It probably is ragdoll related.
FIX THIS
i was told to get a lost camera in a quest and i couldnt pick it up
its a glitch if you pick up something and drop it fast or something like that, it makes it so that
its glitched and the "slut" xd has something on it but all you need to do is just exit
