mutant ant-eater?

today while boating down a river in the revamped Rio map, i saw a rather frightening creature. it looks like one of the standard ant-eater animals that are roaming around, but it had glowing purple eyes and was walking on two legs. has anyone else seen it? and if so, what does it do? im sure as hell not gonna go over to greet it.
