Could you link the video?

Try out this link; if it the first video isn't correct part 2 has more commands.

Yeah, I just saw the video, It's not with the whitelist.dat, he whitelist people with the permit command, in your console, you see the PlayerID of your friend (a LONG numer), and that ID, you must write it in a command like this :
- permit <id>
To unwhitelist someone, you need to write :
- unpermit <id>
To see people who are whitelisted, type :
- permits

Maybe we can use the whitelist.dat file, I don't know, but this way is suffisent for me.
PS : sorry for English mistake, I'm French ^^

From what I understand, the .dat file just holds the information; once you enter information via the server console and then try to open these files, they are unreadable - just a bunch of symbols and icons. I think they only way to populate these files is using the server console (excluding the commands.dat of course)

The unreadable things in the .dat file are ASCII caracters, I think you must have a little knowledge in programmation for that x)

That, or be able to read Elven xD just kidding. Yes, I have little to no knowledge in programming so that would make sense.

I found how to do it what you do is in the server console and type permit{the persons id}/{persons current steam name} so myn is "permit 76561198417204986/german35"
