Max player limit?
Why is there a limit to the amount of players you can have on a server? If more than 24 people are on a server does the server just combust? I see no logical reason to why there would be a limit on this...people have varying rigs/servers. If there is an actual reason for this? Im trying to set up a unturned server for my community and only being allowed 24 people on one server is brutal and aggrivating, any response would be a great help.

That's not what I meant, remember in 2.0 when you could have 50 or more people on a server a once? Why can't we do that anymore?

Becouse in 3.x qe have a server list, that is hosted on some server, that server need to see how many players are online who is online for evry server of unturned, and to have more server slots the host of the server list will need to be better and it costs money.

This is terribly incorrect. This is so horribly false. That's not how that works.

As far as the question goes, I don't know why the maximum of player slots was lowered. He might be testing optimization and such.

I believe its for optimizing and because of map size. DayZ servers have only 50 slots and that is great (map is huge compared to Unturned ones, but DayZ not considering amount of bugs tends to be more hardcore). Imagine that slots on Unturned server go up to 50, you would see people everyone. It would be PvP fest.

You can host higher than 24 players, but your server will not show up in the server browser.

First - Jesus Christ you are thick. We're not even talking about dedicated servers (things that can also be run for free on your own computer - something that you will never understand).

Second - we're talking about the hardcoded game limit of a server. Not how much you could financially rent or personally run.

The hardcoded maximum is 48. Above 24 and it will not, as you stated, show up in the server listings however.

Due to servers performing poorly when any more than 24 players are connected, nelson made the choice just to not have those servers show on the list. It makes it so the majority of the population doesn't have a bad experience. You still can host more than 24 people, it just requires direct connection.

Smart move. Yeah, we used to use the direct connect system.
