I dont think he should. Because then players can just pick up stuff like fort barricades instead of fighting through them.

... When you place something, you can pick it up, no one else can...

That's a good idea there.

I actually like the fact of placing something and it never being relocated. It adds a certain rarity to the game and items that other games lack. Kind of like how in minecraft, when you place glass, it is either destroyed, or stays, no third direction.

While this game isnt realistic in some areas, it is in others, and this should be an area it is realistic, I don't find it realistic I that I can craft a crate, an I can put it in my packback, and then place it, why can't I at least move it around.

The way to implement this option would be to not have a 'pick up and place in inventory system', but a relocation system. As stated before, only the placer of the object should be able to relocate an object. Upon picking up the item with whatever option/method gets implemented, you have to place it again before you can switch items. It doesn't go into your inventory, you can only pick up one item and relocate it at once.

Maybe it should be limited to a few objects, such as sleeping bags, cots, chests, crates, sandbags, worklights and generators. Stuff that can be placed wrong with ease.

Highly agreed. I hate putting my only generator in a corner of my mansion, only to find it doesn't reach the electric trap that I need it to... :(

There is no question about whether this ought to be implemented, it is just a matter of how it should be. I believe that a hammer or crowbar should be able to be used to turn something into a dropped item, but only the person that placed the object OR people in the group should have this ability.

I think there should be an option for dat, because my house is slightly off because I placed the foundations incorrectly.

Exactly. I have spent +5 hours on my Oultan island mansion. Check my screenshots. That would be a lot of fun to rebuild after destroying!
