My son wants to play this game (he is 12) i dont know if its kid friendly it looks it and i've never played...

Yes you can, click Configuration and then Options and unclick bloody.I this this game is okay for 12, but I suggest stay away from multiplayer.

I dont know how will your son react to blood soo I maybe recommend same as Zasso said

Its not very gory at all, all there is is when hurting someting a bit of red will splatter on the surfaces near it, it wont appear on any actual creatures so the blood is very minor and dissapears after a while. Though multiplayer people tend to swear a bit, but some servers ban it and you can turn on a profanity filter in the options.

i was playing grand theft auto, resident eveil, wwf, a bunch of crap when i was 12... i dont see a big deal in a 12 year old playing any game as long as you do right as a parent and explain that it is just a game.. if you think a shooting game is going to make your kid a mass shooter then he probly shouldnt be playing any games cuz they will all cause somthing if you think like that. if you dont think that your kid is mature enough to play this game maybe he should still be playing barny games, cuz really i think mine craft is more violant then this game.

It's okay to play this game as long as your son isn't feeling disturbed or affected mentally, or basically any strange change towards him. Gore and violince is unrealistic/minor, even the guns.

Multiplayer is a big no-no, it will affect him (Unless he has a very good online experience)
