Oil Rig?

Is there an alternative way to reach the oil rig w/o a helicopter, and please don't say just build up to there that'd take awhile to do.

Do vehicles respawn in Hard Mode? I've blown up a few of them after taking the gas so I could get the scrap metal and spawn in better ones... and I haven't seen (or notice) any more show back up!

Either they are respawning in remote areas I haven't gotten to yet, or they just don't come back.

I'd like to know before I possibly reduce my options even more on my map.

Can confirm they respawn, but on hard it takes 3x longer for cars to repawn compared to easy

Likely viewable in the long list of game settings, but that makes sense.

Right now I have all the metal I can use right now, without going crazy and making a metal base, and just got a pump jack made (scored and got 2 frick'n gas cans in one Town last night! wtf?! As well as finding my 6th or 7th blowtorch in a home garage!) so I'm fine on gas as well and don't have a need to wreck vehicle for scrap currently.

Just need to find that damn gas mask. Filters have started spawning in fire houses and I've yet to do regular raids on Firewatch towers, but I have checked them all out once... except for that one in the distance off the map (which I know is a reference to the game Firewatch).

The whole area with the labeled Firewatch tower is in reference to the game, right down to the one tower you can see off in the distance that you can't get at, because that's where the other person you talk to is at.

Ok, well, if it was in the new fire station that actually has a kitchen and laundry room, I can believe it. Guess I'll be checking there as well.
