Infections don't heal themselves do they?

I don't usually get infections from drinking salt water.

no
however,
i feel like things like the vaccines anti biotics and immunity boosting items should take time
to regenerate it
they first slow down then halt the lowering of toxicity bar
then slowly and gradually start to increase it back up again.
for vaccines they should give you a boost, so when you take it you dont loose as much immunity say if you enter a deadzone

That isn't the only way to decrease your immunity.

Salt water makes you sick. Vomiting, dehydration, hallucinations if enough is drank. Immunity is pretty much your sickness level.

But, I agree vaccines and such shouldn't instantly heal/cure you. It should all be over-time mechanics. Bleeding is fine being instantly fixed, but I feel one would need a suture kit to get rid of it entirely. Bandages should only be a temporary solution.

suture kits and splints are more better suited to fix broken legs since theyre the only way to do it actually

And? Immunity=the ability to fight back disease.

How I get it is regardless of how it should regenerate, like I am now, recovering from a cold.

Suture Kits, and by extension, Medkits, are a little /too/ rare to be used reliably for stopping bleeding, given how damn often you can bleed. Maybe on Hard, where it makes sense, but not by default.

Unturned is trying to be authentic, not realistic.

I know. Just saying. Not saying it should be implemented...

Splints do not give me back any blood...

This I agree with. Two scrap strapped to my leg for a 10-15 health boost is kind of silly. Still, eh.
I could understand it being broken bone exclusive, that'd be okay.

Why should it regenerate if you don't treat it?

What? Ever heard of cells? The body creates more when they die.

This health lesson is free.

Technical, yeah, the immunity bar should recover over time, given how living things heal... but that could affect gameplay in a profound way.

The one thread I have up on the Suggestions forum, where you have multiple 'bites'/uses on large food items would allow a player to heal more often 'naturally' (through being well fed more optimally) as opposed to relying on rags/bandages/dressing more often, and in turn could easily make medical supplies more abundant, since they aren't used as much.

This would cascade into other things, as now a player is more power and get get away with doing more things, which could require something else being changed to balance things again.

So yeah, there is a good logical argument for it, but there is a good gameplay argument against it. Something else would have to change if recovering one's immunity was easier.

I know. :D Heck knows Immunity would not be a problem, nor would blood, if they acted like in real life. Also, the serious injuries usually take more out of you.

I think that's a cytology lesson, not that you'd know, and your body can't recover from all illnesses on it's own. That's why doctor's issue antibiotics to help your body.
