easiest way to get on the oil rig

i noticed there are no ladders or stairs in the bottom. the only sure fire way atm is to get a chopper, but they are rare and hard to find before anyone else

so far all i got is ladders, but to carry and craft them would be a hassle
took me a good 20 ladders from the bottom to the very 1st platform

Another cheaty way is to make a skybridge towards the island, but nobody is guranteed to survive long enough with PVP players to build one, so either play PVE or SP or have fun getting blasted.

Well, it's supposed to be difficult to get on it, requiring you to still go to the airport/military base to get an air vehicle of some sort (and not die in the process, like I did one time) and land it on the oil rig, get ♥♥♥♥, gtfo. Ladders would be just time consuming.

it has to be something easy to make and gives you the most mileage

Helicopters, Planes, or have a base so high up in the sky that you can touch the skybox then use an umbrella to get onto the rig. All of them work and you won't waste filters.

Once built, it is the easiest way to get to it.

Actually saw a YouTube video last night of someone raiding the place, since the guy with the sky base offered up a 'free trip' to the oil rig. The guy doing the video was apparently friends with the base owner (which was quite the epic Sky base!) and just jumped with an umbrella from near sky box limit over to the oil rig.

Talk about easy access.
