Disappearing Mega Zombies problem

I never gotten to kill a Mega Zombie. And whenever I find a location of one in one of the map, I start to prepare to fight it. That that takes DAYS to build a sniper nest out of metal, plus having to make barricades to trap it in one spot. When I leave the Mega Zombie area, and return it can be gone! :( No reason, just gone like it never was there. And It usually never appears in that place again so it's pointless to keep barricades there and stuff. But I'll take longer to take it all down & take it to the new Mega Zombie spawn. :( It'll never get a Mega if they disappear after a few days! Please game Keep the mega zombies wherever they spawn so I can kill them! So unfair :(

I think this is partly the reason I'm growing tired of this game. I make progress and then loose it. Even if my character is maxed or not. And this is all on Easy mode.

play hardcore, higher chance of mega zombies spawning.

I'm not mean but, you an idiot, it despawns when you walk far enough away, so get materials, then go to fight it.

Oh gosh, I can't do hard mode. :( I can't even do Normal. Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't wanna see them in hard mode when I can't even kill them in Easy mode.

well you actualy can use the horde beacon to lure him in but its very risky,since its same like you meeting mega Zombie in full moon

also try to go to military bases,the conderferation bridge,and a crashed helicopters location there is a spawn rate of em there go build a base there so you are ready when one spawn there (i have killed 10 of em 2 of them are cheated so i dont get any damage form them)

And I read that the horde beacon summons 100 zombies. :( I don't think I wanna take on a 100 zombies and a Mega Zombie. But thank you for the idea. I might try that one day :D (I never used a horde beacon or a safe zone generator before)

I've been nervous about building a base within a game built city or military. But That does sound like a smart idea. He always appears in the back of the base where the tank crashed. So I might be able to build a place around there. Any building material suggestions?

I would try using a Cobra Pistol and maybe get 3 Cobra Boxes and this is coming from a friend of mine who used to hunt Mega Zombies when they weren't so rare to find

Okay :D I can get a police gun EASY :D Should I build my base out of metal in the military base?

I could kill a mega while naked.
Here are the steps for washington:
Go to Olympia military base.
Find Megaget on wall and stand in a spot so the mega can be punched without it hurting you.
Punch mega to death.
