good camo
But the precision charge kind of reduces the effectiveness of those tactics vs people that know what they are doing.
If I were making a serious base, I'd put in planned weak points with birch to make raiding difficult.
In Normal mode PEI, I already started on a Birch wood base, and just kept going with the all white wood fort until it was done enough.
Other times I might use Birch wood was to use up found birch arrows, since they were just as good damage wise, but would break faster than usual and save wear and tear on my other arrows.
Pine is used for Structural Strength but little security, for when Metal is scarce
Metal is used for security, preventing others from entering or using appliances and storage
And Brick is only used because you had spare bricks lying around/want a red base
scrap/tape/rope is somewhat common so when a rifle breaks just take out the clip and scrap the rifle its also easy to get planks so for your first rifle you need
6 scrap
12 if you want a extra clip pretty cheap in my opinion
also im sure pine has more durability
yes there is pine but its less common at the spawn of pei all i remember is the 2 pine trees at the bridge
