Animals on Russia

Anyone else notice there are very few animals on Russia? Maybe it's just because the map is bigger, but I've had a hell of a time trying to hunt. The ONE place I found a good group of animals was in the basement of Silo 22. There were 4 pigs trapped inside. From time to time I'll spot a cow in the distance, but I have yet to find deer and herds of anything other than pigs.

Also, I've noticed that bears don't spawn on Russia at all, or at least that's what I've experienced. Kinda weird, considering it's Russia and all.

Haven't ran into any aggressive animal in Russia, and I've pretty much explored most everywhere that isn't a dead zone.

I think the spawn rate for animals on Russia are the same as smaller maps, making it less likely to run into them with the same population over a wider area. But I have seen (and killed) a couple huge herd of cows.

Best way to kill most animals is with a vehicle. Domestic animals don't run when others are ran over, making it less of a chore to take out a group of pigs or cows. Deer are still an issue, but less so when you can out run them... and run over them.
