Best gun for sentry?

I'm holed up at the military base in Russia, so I have all sorts of weapons at my disposal. I've been considering a Nykorev due to it's high fire rate, massive magazine, and decent range, but the inaccuracy concerns me.

The best gun for a sentry is obviously and unloaded nailgun.

Personaly I do shotguns, any but masterkey and sawn-off though for ammo reasons.

Usualy I just place what I have to spare.

It really depends on the area your sticking it in if it's a big open room I'd say a military gun with a drum if it's a small room I would say nykorov or dragonfang it'd it is close quarters like a closed off staircase I would say a blunt force or vonya

Fusilaut with adaptive chambering is the best choice. Probably highest RPM (rounds per minute) and 75 ammo. Would kill an enemy in a second or quicker. Don't use LMGs, as raiders can use them to raid your base, sentries are easy to destroy. If you don't have fusilauts, calling cards or maplestrike/eaglefire with a drum are quite good choice, of course if you have adaptive chambering use it in those guns.

Against lmg as sentry weapons:

i once entered a base and got totally ambushed by a hidden sentry that i didn't see, it was mounting a dragonfang.
I got hit 5 times and still could drop prone and bandage.
Not to mention that when the sentry got destroyed, I used that dragonfang to raid the rest.

Nykorev is the best choice. High ammo capacity so you don't have to load it every 30 shots, and pretty darn accurate. If accuracy is a major problem, then I reccommend having a few sniper turrets further outside and higher up than the rest of the turrets.

No it's not and it was said why. Raiders will destroy your sentry easily and then gain acces to almost full ammo Nykorev to raid your base easier. Worst ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idea to put LMG on a sentry. Fusilaut - highest rate of fire - best choice for a sentry. If you dont have it, use maplestrike/eaglefire/nightraiders etc. all with adaptive chambering of course.
