You don't search it in the actual search engine, you search in the URL bar up top and it should take you staight to your router page, or at least the login credentials for it.

dude how dumb do you have to be that you dont know how to do a google search or youtube search. since i called you dumb i will explain it to you and expect a THANKS at the end.

open up your command promp (CMD) ok? TYPE THIS "ipconfig /all" it will show you your gateway ip address. it will look like 192.168.0.1 or .254 at the end. once you find out your gateway ip address you type THAT in your browser. {LINK REMOVED} and you will be taken to a login page for your router. if you have never configured your router you will need to login using default login and password which is EITHER labled physically on your router OR you can google search your model and find out its default.

ONCE LOGGED IN find the port forwarding section, which may be labled differently possibly in your firewall settings. use what ever port you plan on using (24555 is default) and plug it in where it says port. it will also ask you WHAT IP TO FORWARD THE PORT TO. that is where you put in the ip your computer is using. which you can find out by IPCONFIG /ALL in the CMD prompt. save settings and test your server.

Being rude towards someone isn't going to help in any way. You could simply point them towards a video tutorial? Or explain without all your CAPS because it makes it seem as if you're yelling and yelling shows anger and hostility none of which is needed in these forums. :)

Now back to the topic on hand, OP do you have Mac or Windows?

the easyest way to play with friends is to get hamatchi and download it its free and non-virus but it gets though the ports easyly

Hamachi is harder to use because everyone needs to download it and put it all the credentials, then open up Unturned and put in more credentials. Portforwarding is a one-time thing and doesn't open up your computer to anyone that joins.

Okay I will list what to do step by step here for a port forward. Now bear in mind that there are a LOT of different routers out there so the menu layouts will be different.

1.) Connect to your network. Click the windows start button on the task bar and type in cmd and then press enter.

2.) Right click on the command prompt result and click on run as admin. Then type ipconfig in the window and hit enter. Now if you are using an Ethernet cable ("Blue Cord") then look for something like: Ethernet Adapter Local Area Connection. If you are using wireless look for something like WLAN or wireless LAN.

3.) Under that heading copy or write down your IP 4 address and your default gateway address. Then open up your web-browser and put the gateway address into the URL bar and hit enter. Now it will most likely ask for a password. If you have not set one before then google the default password for your brand and model of router (user-name and password are generally always admin though or just admin as user and no password).

4.) Now this differs for each router but what you need to do is to find an option for forwarding or you need to go into settings/toolbox then game and application sharing and make a new entry.

5.) If it gives you the option click on manual entry of ports/port maps. Leave the protocol as any and put the port range as what ever ports you are using for unturned (Default is 25444). For translate too put in the same port and leave trigger port blank. Click save or accept and call it whatever you want.

6.) Now what you need to do is go back to game and application sharing and then click assign a game or application to a local network device. Select what you saved those port maps in the application box and for the device box select your computer (if more then one device find your pc name by right clicking on computer in the start menu and clicking on properties). Now click add.

7.) Now launch your server and send your friends your IP 4 address and port number. If they still have issues connecting make sure your turn off your firewall and the restart the server and try again.

I don’t think I missed anything. As all routers are different you will have to google your model's port forwarding instructions if you get stuck.

I leave you with one more piece of advise: USE GOOGLE. LEAR HOW TO SEARCH ON IT. Seriously once you know how to properly search on it you never have to ask on forums again for the most part. Its best if you learn it early because it will save you a lot of trouble in the long run. Trust me on this. Even if it takes a while just learn how to refine your search terms and such. Use wikis as well.

Oh and one more thing, if you are using a dedicated server (of which I assumed so) if you run the game on the same computer type in localhost as the IP address not your IP 4 adress.

the virgin media login was your router page. enter the routers username and password. by default, the username should be "admin" and the password is "changeme". look for portforwarding under the security tab. enter the start and end port(25444), and your local ip address. the protocol should be tcp&udp. click the "add rule" button and your done. assuming you have virgin media internet, this should work.

Too bad port forwarding does not work for this game. I'm behind a modem/router combo, I host minecraft and dozens of different kinds of servers with ease. I have no idea if it works for many people, but the only reason Hamachi is being used here is because this game consistantly times out when trying to connect. (I've also tried DMZ, and multiple configurations to insure a working online game, but I never had this much trouble with anything else.) So either my client's are having issues on their side, or something is wrong with the netcode. I hope it's just the latter.. :Doomsday:
