Can i access my friends house?

My friend built a house in single player, when he hosted a server and multiplayer I can't access his house, it shows red. .... Is it possible to build a house that both he and I can access?

i would imagine ig you both build a house with your own doors added e.g he has his way in you have your way in but both lead to main room. It would possibly work but cant 100% it.

yeah i am having to improvise based on the building similarity to Rust (before the door code was added) but hard to say might work

Join the same group and it should sort out.

If you and your friend set your characters to be in the same group you will be able to place metal doors and chests that only players in that group can access.

I believe the items must be placed by a character that is currently set to that group for this to work. In other words if he has already placed things before setting his character to that group, the items he placed will only be accessible by him.
