Map Not Showing Location Names Explained
So some of you may have noticed location/town names are not showing on the map, this is due to a little rework of PlayerDashboardInformationUI.cs and allowing map refresh without reopening.

But it seems Nelson forgot to add back in the LocationNodes.

So looks like you'll have to wait for a patch :P

Just open chart file with photoshop and add location names. Nodes are working perfectly, just its names'overlays are not showing, so add them manually and delete after next update :)

Unfortunately yes it seems I messed them up in the update. No data was lost however. It's not a critical bug so I'm going to put together some more additions and improvements and aim to get an update out sometime next week.

Yes you can go edit the map.png and chart.png files and add stuff but you can't do that server-side so every player on your server would have to add the names.

I kinda like it though, adds a bit more use to the GPS, because now, to figure out if its a military base, you need to check the design.
(But I don't really need to do that, I've been playing for long enough)

Indeed i think that a GPS should show location names and a chart shouldn't. Maybe Nelson could do this next week? :P

Rather it should be the opposite. First off, you need location names early on (Like to find the Unyielding HQ base in Hawaii, it was a little annoying trying to search for it when it didn't have a name). Second, charts are basically maps (Looks like it would be handheld) with locations on (Like for example, the maps you find at campsites or ranger stations with the little icons on it, like pavilion icons and such).

Maybe the chart shows symbols and the GPS shows names

Like, military bases have a little helmet or something, campgrounds have a camp fire, places like Out Of Bounds in Yukon would have a question mark
