cant connect to public servers at all

i need some help with my unturned, i basically cant connect to any server at all when i connect to a public server is give me this massege "Lost connection to host or Steam network" and every fix i found was related to people making a server and also there is other "glitch" every server in server list has only 1 for max player limit, so bsacially it looks like (ServerName 1/1 or 0/1), please help me this is very annoying

Have you clicked (more than once) the internet button?
If you still don't find them, set all your filters to "any" and click internet again, and that should work.

Just had this issue not even joking, I even talked with an Unturned Developer that had no clue how this game to be. The only fix that worked for me was resetting my pc.

Maybe it could be a firewall issue (idk, just a proposition). Go into the advanced firewall and authorise all Steam and Unturned connections in the inbound rules

Have same problem + when I try to connect to my LAN server (or one that I host through hosting service) directlly through IP the game freezes for me at "Attempting connection" screen.

same issue, when i click in the server info is shows nothing, and if i try to connect is just freezes in "attempting connection" for a few sec ,and a “lost connection to host or steam network”:(

hey update i didnt fix the issue but atleast i fixed the server numbers problem where it shows you there is 1/1 players, just updated steam, just go and check for steam update, and could maybe fix your problem ? idk it didnt fix the problem entierly

We have the same issue, I reinstalled it didn't work :(

well u see this didnt fix the problem for me it just stopped the player limit problem like insted of finding servers with 1/1 players i find it fixed like 24/24 or 15/24 something like that
just try going to the self update in steam tab and try updating maybe it will fix the problem otherwise we just have to wait for dev to see this post :(

Do I need to allow them for public or only private networks?

Well, I just right click on for example unturned.exe in the advanced firewall, then properties and "authorize the connection" (my Windows is in french, so I suppose it's what is written). I don't have anything about public or private networks (it's already how it's set to me), but if it asks you, I'd say do both.

All of the rules are already authroized, but after I started Unturned, it didn't work. I closed it and refreshed the list, and now all the Unturned rules are gone. As in, there were once 3 Rules named Unturned, now there is nothing between T and V on the list.


Additionally there were no outbound rules for Unturned in the first place.

The fact that there are no outbound rules is normal, I don't have outbound rules too. But the fact that your inbound rules just dissappeared is just weird. I tried to search on the Unturned GitHub, but I can't find similar issues as yours. Also, are all your Steam rules authorized?

Yes, of the steam rules that are on the list, (2 'Steam' and 2 'Steam Web Helper') I right click on them, click properties, under General, and in the 'Action' box, there are 2 radio buttons, and each one has the 'Allow the Connection' button selected. Additionally, I should add that I believe the Unturned rules dissapeared when I launched the game, rather than when I closed it.

Well, I'm sorry, but I have no clue how to fix your problems. As I said before, I did some research on the github, none of them had a solution (I didn't even find someone with the same issue). Maybe you could try to search for help on the official forum?

well for who ever that still has the problem i think i fixed it by just updating steam, i used to skip the steam update, and when i started letting it run it course and also doing the self update thingy in steam options, it got fixed, everything is working fine and as intended.
i hope this fix's your problem, and thanks to who ever tried to help :)
