There is no way to purify salty water. If you are unlucky enough to get salt water in your canteen, are stuck having to drink the contents of the canteen to use it again; unless somehow you can poor it into a water tank or something else... which I doubt you can.

I'm still searching for the answer to your question too. This game is now broken ever since they added this update about dirty and salty water.

Only alternative for the useless update is to farm plants for thirst or rain barrel as they have said. It rarely rains and if it ever did in multiplayer servers, most admins will remove the rain to lessen the server lag.

Farming? What the heck is this, a farming simulator? You can't be a nomad now since you are forced to plant.

This game needs an update where you can drink your own piss/urine for the sake of it.

As for me who has played Unturned 2.0 until 3.0, Everything was going fine until with this ridiculous update that changed the survival system to a dire situation.

I never said that the game is unrealistic. I even mentioned about Farming Simulator which contradicts to your statement about being unrealistic. Simulator has realism in it..

You gave an answer, but you didn't answer the question, and side stepped onto a tangent topic that you assumed was more relavent to the person asking the question.
(I would know, since I've done it many times myself. )

If you played the game (in its current state) for decent length of time, you would know how straight forward the answers would be.

Which is "no, there isn't." with maybe a correction that salt water can never be purified, and is very difficult or impossible to dump out without drinking it in the process.

The rest of the stuff people have posted are rants about the system and tips on how to get around the limitations.

Your personal life shouldn't be discussed here in the forum. Its too obvious that you are trying to derail the topic for the purpose of starting an arguement.

I'm just exaggerating the problem of the game and you are in the point of taking it so seriously as if it gave you a traumatic experience about the case.

There's no way you can get clean water in this game aside from rain barrels. Its just sad that you cannot distill a salty/dirty water in the game but back in Unturned 2.0, it was possible.

My side and point here? The game is getting out of context that its almost IMPOSSIBLE to survive from thirst.

You can clean dirty water in the Repair tab of crafting with purification tablet,
but you can't clean salty water.
