Will my server shut down when i turn off my computer?

will my server shut down when i turn my computer off? So do i always have to have it runing in the background?

no no you don't have to leave it running if people do play on it. it wont shut down also what's your sever i wanna play on it.

This is not true.

EDIT: The server will be closed when you shut your computer down.

It depends on where you're hosting the server.

If you're using a private host, no. There are options that allow you to shutdown the server from the console said host provides, and the server won't close automatically if you turn off your PC.

If you're hosting your server on your own computer, then Molton here already answered.

the pc will have to go through a booting procsess if you turn it off it will also shutdown any aplacations you have open when it is off witch in this case there is no computer to run these proscesses so you need to resort to a server computer box inorder to run servers while your computer is running or have a seprate computer if you want to run a server.

basicly in the longrun if you dont know what a server box is its basicly a "computer" that runs your servers (leave this valuable somewere cool and safe so no one can accesss it or there for you might have it die. and tho this is another unsafe option purcuase a pc like a laptop and have it run a server, a lot slower option if you go for that option but its still worth less than to go buy a server box.
