What is BattlEye?

BattlEye is an Anti-Cheat service that scans the operating system for hacks similarly to an Anti-Virus, and if found blocks them from functioning or bans the user.

I cancelled BattlEye when launching Unturned, how can I install it?

Open your Unturned folder [Steam Library > Unturned > Properties > Local Files > Browse Local Files], enter the BattlEye folder and run Install_BattlEye.bat.

Do I need to have BattlEye installed?

If you choose not to use BattlEye you can set your server filters to "BattlEye Disabled" to find servers that don't require BattlEye, but if you join a "BattlEye Required" server you will be kicked.

How do I uninstall BattlEye?

How do I reinstall BattlEye?

Do I need to worry about getting banned for "XYZ"?

If in doubt, you're not going to get banned. Only players intentionally using cheats will be banned.

Thanks for this! But shouldent it be required for players to download BattlEye to play the game, since that is what is detecting cheat clients?

It might have bugs right now and I'm sure there are people who would complain about not being able to fight against other hackers in an anarchy server or something.

Unturned won't even start with Battleye for me - I have to start it without it, but then I can't join any server that are running with it. No bueno, Nelsono.... :P

It might have bugs right now and I'm sure there are people who would complain about not being able to fight against other hackers in an anarchy server or something.

Cheats shouldent be used regardless.

thx. but i was gonna try and join a server i was gonna become an admin in then it says u cant join cus u havent updated it. while i did cus we had to restart the server. then i cant join any server, but i have battle eye but it isnt registering that.
