Floor/ramp issue

I am trying to build a base, though finding it annoying how when you put a ramp and try to attach a floor to the buttom of the ramp, it doesn't want to snap together, how do I fix this?

I've never dealt with ramps before, but they may only snap to ceiling pieces. So you might have to work from the top.

It's the same issue with the stairs sadly, I can't attach/snap floor/roof to the bottom of the stairs, only to the top.

Cheers.. About to smash my keyboard about this lol.. Hoping someone knows what to do cause this makes no sense in the world of logic.
