Repairing barbed wire fence?

I remember that you could not do it in the past, can you do it now? Barbed wire fence is quite expensive so losing one is quite costly.

Thats annoying, I guess it is pointless to build barbed wire fence then. I like how it looks but it has quite low hp while costs almost like 2 metal walls. But since I undrustand that it can't be repaired...I guess there is nothing that can be done.

A barbed wire is crafted from 2 wire
A single wire is crafted from 3 metal bars and a blowtorch.
2 metal bars can be crafted from one scrap and a blowtorch.
So you need 3 scrap to craft a single barbed wire


A SINGLE metal wall is crafted from 5 metal sheet and crafting 2
A single metal sheet is crafted from 2 scraps
You need 10 scrap to make a metal wall

So no, it doesn't cost like 2 walls. It doesn't even cost half the materials for a single wall.
If you don't want to use scrap for traps then just collect those sticks you get from trees or even make tons of them from planks by using a saw and then make spikes.


Edit: Nvm, just realised you were talking about the barbed wire fence

Yeah, barbed wire is quite cheap, barbed wire fence takes total 17 scraps. In the end I just ended up spamming large metal plates which are 8 scrap each.
