What computer do I need to run this game at high/ultra settings with 60fps?
What computer/specs do I need to be able to run Unturned at high or ultra settings with 60fps?

I've been playing this game for 1,041 hours on a 2014 macbook air and I want to change to a "real" gaming pc for 1000€ or less. So I was just wondering what computer/specs I need to play this game at high/ultra settings. I don't have the money for it yet but i'll probably have enough money for it in half a year or less.

Thanks for responding! :steamhappy:

the added frames do give a certain amount of smoothness, even without the higher refresh speeds, there's a reason people go to the lowest graphics for frames in games such as csgo with pcs that cost a LOT, just to get that extra few hundred frames per second
Unturned doesn't really need that extra smoothness, then again I can't tell anyways because the only vanella servers I can find are not us based so ping is high

Great question! Your best bet is getting a Video Card with 4gb of VRAM. Hope this helps!

Gigabyte GeForce GTX 1050 Ti is what you'd want as a minimum for Ultra graphics on Unturned.
Not even that, a 950 or even a 750ti can suffice granted your cpu and ram is suffcient.

As long as you have around 8 gigs of ram, I haven't noticed difference between 8/16/24 gigs of ram... I do believe the cpu is the major thing either allowing you to have frames or, often bottlenecking higher than, say the 700 series of graphics cards... (not including amd equivalents as I don't have much knowledge about them)

The issue with a Gaming Laptop is that you are not guaranteed the bed performance when it comes to gaming.

This is usually due to the fact that people are trying to cram as much of these GPUs and SSDs and Hardrives into such a tiny space.

The other issue with a Laptop is that you have to look out for the amount of USB ports, etc.

But, Laptops do have some Pros aswell so, I won’t say more.

Well I can tell you from experience that a 950 can handle ultra settings pretty well if the cpu isn't the bottleneck. I had one in my old rig. As for the 750ti, it's pretty similar in preformance to a 950 (the 950 is only 10 or 15% more powerful).

I'm running at around 55-60 fps on almost all settings on ultra (wind medium terrain high, FXAA no TAA) using only a 660, but my cpu is OC'd to 4Ghz, which I do believe plays the biggest role in my performance

What? GHZ is the clock speed of each core.

what i meant was: its ok if you have a 4ghz cpu but is useless if you only have one core. Having a quadcore 2ghz is a LOT more efficient

Wait people still use cpus with less than 4 cores?... From what I've noticed going past 4 cores isn't as beneficial as going up in the clock speed... Most games do not at least fully utilize more than 4 cores, of course it's still gonna improve the performance, but not as much as a higher clock speed... From what I've noticed, my i5 4690 at @4Ghz (quad core) usually works better than my friend's Ryzen (don't remember the model, but it's at 3,2Ghz and 8 cores)... I actually get higher frames than him in games like csgo(we both get past a few hundred frames a second), even though he has a 1080 and I only have a 660... Of course 4 cores at 2Ghz beat a single core at 4Ghz, but usually in GAMING (rendering for example fully uses all the cores usually) 4 cores at 3Ghz is better than 8 at 2Ghz

I use a intel pentium g4560 which is a hyperthreaded duel core. They do suffice in most games.

Ok.

Just for reference, my friend has a 1050ti that can't pull of 60fps at all times when running at pretty high graphics

I'd suggest around 1070 or 1070ti for a crystal clear always 60 fps

Bear in mind this is only when in large hard-to-render cities. Elsewhere like in the wild my mini gtx 1050 runs perfectly okay on decent settings

Ok. I’ll try to find a computer with a 1070 or 1070ti! :steamhappy:
Not always on high graphics tho. I have a 1070. Still hit 30 fps in some official maps. It's just the games optimization tho. Utter crap. But a GTX 1070 is good. Hopefully the optimization gets better.

What's your cpu? Hitting 30 frames with a 1070 should NEVER happen, I don't hit 30 with a 660, even if I max settings... Edit: checked your specs, I'm assuming that you're either lying or don't know what fps is now.
