how do claim flags work
i dont play much pvp so idk, but it only prevents others from building in the radius right? does it add damage resistence to yr base (like a base with a claim flag takes more explosives than the same base without one)?

it only prevents players that are not in your group to build in that area

This^
And it significantly increases the defense/reduces the damage taken from players and zombies against your buildables.

I'm unsure where this idea originated from, but it's a common misconception it seems. As others have said, it doesn't do this!

On a separate note, however, certain modded content will be able to bypass your claim flag, and the vanilla Picket Sign (which is disabled for players and servers by default) can too. Items with the "Remote Explosive" context type can also bypass claims, so be wary of charges and precision charges.

wow, Molten himself. the increased defense concept is in many other games which is where my confusion came from. maybe add a note or something to the wiki to help clarify for others?(about both no defense boost and sign/mod bypass) thanks!

Added a clarification to the article just now.

"It does not directly bolster the health of structures and barricades in the area, nor does it reduce damage dealt."

I admit: I didn't really do a deep internet query or even make a Claim Flag in-game yet, but is the shape of the affected field a column or a sphere? Can multiple Claim Flags be placed and affect a greater area? If 'column' and 'Yes,' then a skybase platform with enough wood and dedication could completely disable others' ability to build bases anywhere, especially in a smaller map like Washington

This thread was quite old before the recent post, so we're locking it to prevent confusion.
