And then the idiots that do "semi vanilla", which doesn't exist.
Yep, this game is dead for veteran players who enjoyed vanilla, Unturned isn't the same game without a decent amount of vanilla servers..
#bringback2.0 :(
going on and on about how they miss 2.0
I love vanilla too, and it's a shame a lot of servers aren't popular. I know. It sucks. I think the only way to encourage people to play on vanilla servers is to tell people how good vanilla is instead of saying this:
It's counter-constructive and doesn't do anything but insult the way other people play the game.
Promote your way of playing rather than degrading other ways.
/home, /jkit, /buy, and /tpa makes things too easy, and welcomes noobs. I'm fine with people playing that, but I want to stay away from it myself.
PvP fights have higher stakes, as loot is a little harder to get in vanilla servers, whereas in a server with Rocket plugins, there's no sense of tension. You just ask your friend to teleport you back in.
If you're feeling a little scared of being hunted in the middle of nowhere, you don't have to make a dangerous journey to your base. Just /home.
If you just joined, you don't have to find a formidable weapon. Just /kit. No tension, no high stakes, no fear. It removes everything about a survival game.
I play vanilla because I like a challenge.
